Jackie and I have traveled to almost 40 countries and have a number of "special" places which we have visited. But Jasper National Park is one of our favourite. It's only a four hour drive from our home in Calgary yet it always takes us most of the day to get there because there is so much to take in. A few of our favourite views along the way are Castle Mountain, lakes Louise, Moraine and Bow. (Click on any photo to enlarge )
Beauvert Lake is the focal point of the magnificent CP Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge property. The main dining area and lounge overlook its emerald green waters and several of the fairways on the Stanley Jones designed golf course hug its shores. It is also home to a great many types of wildlife; bear, wapiti, mule deer to name a few. So walking the 5.5 km path around the lake can offer up some great photo opportunities.
